Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 4, 2025
Introduction
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to information collection and use by Armor at Hand, Inc. (dba ArmorGIS) or its subsidiaries which you may interact with ("ArmorGIS", "we", "us", "our") while
you are using our mobile application which links to this Policy (the "App"). This Policy only applies to Personal Information and does not apply to information which is non-personal or anonymized (e.g., aggregated information or information which can not be related to a natural person).
The Information We Collect
ArmorGIS does collect sensitive Personal Information through our App, in that we collect specific location data related to your mobile device in order to provide you with the services of the App. Other than location data, ArmorGIS does not collect any other sensitive Personal Information through our App.
ArmorGIS collects Personal Information about the users of our App in several other ways:
1. Individual Collection. We collect Personal Information from you directly when you fill out any forms on the App or contact us including by text or email us requesting information. Also, depending on the services available to you in the App, we may request for specific Personal Information necessary to perform the services. For example, we may request contact information for your close relatives or emergency contacts.
You are under no obligation to provide any such information. However, if you should choose to withhold requested information, we may not be able to provide you with the services.
2. Automatic Collection: As with all mobile applications, there are certain elements of Personal Information which we automatically collect simply as a part of your interaction with the App (including your precise location). Along with the normal information necessary for us to present the App to you, we also use various technologies to collect Personal Information in connection with your use of the App.
Our App may incorporate "pixel tags", "web beacons", or other similar tracking technologies (collectively,"pixel tags") that allow us, or our agents, to track the actions of users of our App (known as “click-stream data”). Click-stream data can include Personal Information, such as the IP address of the mobile device and device identification number you are using, the type of operating system and browser software that you use, the date and time of your access to our App, the website address, if any, from which you linked directly to our App, the website address, if any, to which you then travel from our App, and any similar traffic-related information. We may also aggregate your click-stream data with similar data collected from other users in order to help us improve our App and the services we provide through our App. If we combine information which is not personal with Personal Information, we will consider the combined information as Personal Information.
3. Third Parties. We may receive information related to you through our trusted service providers. Usually, this is related to our, and our partner’s, interest in making sure the services you are using in the App work as intended.
4. Cookies
Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to your device when you visit a website. Cookies are then sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit, or to another website that recognizes that cookie. Cookies are useful because they allow us to recognise your mobile device.
Cookies perform different functions such as letting you navigate through the App efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improve the user experience. The kinds of the cookies that may be used on the App is set out below:
* Strictly necessary cookies are essential in order to enable you to move around the App and use its features, such as accessing secure areas of the App. Without these cookies, certain services you have asked for cannot be provided.
*Performance cookies collect information about how you use the App, for instance which
pages visitors go to most often, and if they get error messages from web pages. These cookies don’t collect information that identifies a visitor. All information that these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. It is only used to improve how a website works.
* Functionality cookies allow the website to remember choices you make (such as your
username, language or the region you are in) and provide enhanced, more personal features. These cookies can also be used to remember changes you have made to text size, fonts and other parts of web pages that you can customize. They may also be used to provide services you have asked for. The information these cookies collect may be anonymized and they cannot track your browsing activity on other websites. Most mobile devices allow you to remove or manage tracking functions and adjust your privacy and security preferences. Outside of the use of the preference settings in your mobile device’s settings, there are also browser-specific settings like “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) or “Global Privacy Control” (“GPC”). Mobile applications are unlike browsers and don’t have DNT or GPC signal settings.
